We have a vision to strengthen Quality Assurance and support the education sector in a cost effective, efficient, socially responsible and sustainable way, giving recognition and reward where it's due. 

The PRP Quality Platform (formally the Peer Review Portal) was developed over a decade ago by
Online Peer Solutions (OPS) to help institutions meet quality and compliance needs in practical, scalable ways. 

Today, that vision has grown into something bigger.

In 2025, PRP Quality NFP (PRP Quality Ltd) a not-for profit charity, was established to lead our mission globally — Advancing Education where it’s needed most.

Together, these three arms form a unified ecosystem:

PRP Quality Platform

Cloud-based software for self-assurance, QA, and governance.

PRP Quality NFP

A charity reinvesting in global education equity through technology, research, and outreach.

Online Peer Solutions (OPS)

Personalised support — offering Health Check Audits, custom framework development, Quality Assurance management & Training.

Every subscription to PRP Quality Platform helps fund capacity-building projects, digital equity initiatives, and new tools aligned with SDG4 empowered by PRP Quality NFP.

PRP Quality NFP

PRP Quality NFP was founded by seven like-minded members committed to educational equity, sector integrity, and lifelong learning.
 

The mission is clear:
To make Advance Education making it more accessible, more meaningful, and more empowering through quality assurance — no matter the size, location, or funding of an institution.

The PRP Quality Journey:

Key Pivots in a Global Transformation

The evolution of the Peer Review Portal into PRP Quality reflects a series of strategic pivots driven by sector needs, global challenges, and a deep commitment to educational equity.

Originally developed over ten years ago in response to Australia’s introduction of external referencing and sector-wide benchmarking, PRP began as a user-focused tool designed to streamline academic quality reviews.

The onset of COVID-19 marked a major turning point, accelerating PRP’s transformation into a fully cloud-based quality assurance ecosystem, enabling remote collaboration across institutions, regulators, and professional bodies.

As demand grew, PRP expanded beyond assessment reviews to offer institutional self-assessments, real-time student performance analysis, scholarly practice digital tools and benchmarking reporting tools. This expansion positioned PRP as a comprehensive quality infrastructure—addressing not only compliance but institutional capability-building.

Reports such as the Moorhouse Report (2023) underscored the growing burden of regulation. In response, PRP simplified evidence management through digital document sets and institutional self-assessment audits, enabling providers to focus on self-assurance.

Quoted as a “Ferrari at a Kmart price,” PRP’s value to the sector became undeniable. Yet, with its increasing reach and social mission, the founders made a bold pivot—from an initial portal to a platform with purpose.

In 2025, the Peer Review Portal formally transitioned to become PRP Quality Platform - shifting focus to support current sector needs of Self-Assurance, Quality Assurance, Governance and connecting to peers and industry experts and independent reviewers.  

With five like-minded individual PRP Quality Ltd, a not-for-profit charity was established to support Advancing Education through reinvestment in access equity, reviewer training, and ever expanding digital toolkits aligned with global frameworks.

Today, PRP Quality is more than a platform—it is a global movement. Aligned with SDG 4, it fosters inclusive, high-quality education by supporting institutions in Australia and across borders in building trust, capability, and self-assurance.

The journey continues—where quality education is not a privilege, but a promise for all.
